In saving an edited file to a full disk, if the disk is full (I/O error, not
enough space) the lock file is deleted even though the document is still open.
Another user could potentially open the file read/write.

Also, in some circumstances it is possible to write a corrupt partial file to
the disk. The file could be recovered and (in this case) had the first 22 pages
of the document.
