Description kay.koll 2008-11-19 16:49:31 UTC
Calc is able to import Excel's Pivot tables but to preserve the last view of the
table, the DataPilot (Pivot) table is not being activated. This has to be done
by the user manually.
The quality of the Pivot table import has been improved over the past years.
It is worth to activate/enable the Pivot tables by default.

retargeted due to 3.1 deadline

Note this is very important for automated systems.

If by 'activating' it means displaying the field buttons and page field list
boxes upon import, then it is being worked on in koheidatapilot03. But there
are still some outstanding issues with the current implementations due to
difference in table geometry between Excel's pivot table and Calc's data pilot.
