Description benjohn 2008-11-21 23:00:01 UTC
When data in a column is filtered on a value, it is properly displayed.

When REMOVE filter is applied, only the filtered data is displayed and the the
original unfiltered data is not.

I checked with "Ooo 3.0.0 RC3 Multilingual version German UI WIN XP: [OOO300m8
(Build9357)]" and can confirm the reported effect.

The problem is caused by the empty cells in the filter range. If you fill them
with some character or number, all will work as expected.

That works fine with 2.4.1, so regression.

The problem reported here seems to have the same roots (or even is a DUP?) as
Issue 93091

@benjohn:
You filtered by simply marking 'A1:A8' and then you entered your filter criteria
for a standard filter?

And NEW, of course!
Comment 6 benjohn 2008-11-22 17:51:06 UTC
I selected the column, so I'm not sure what exact range Calc selected. Then with
the user interface Data - Filter - Standard Filter and put in my criteria.

To return to original data via user interface Data - Filter - Remove and did not
get back to original sheet.

I uninstalled 3.0 and reloaded 2.4 and accessed the same file and the filter
function worked as expected so in this case the spreadsheet was not corrupted by
its visit to 3.0

Please try this:
Mark column, which was used for filter
Format > Row > Show

This is in fact the same as issue 93091, already fixed in 3.2.
