Description insane_hedgehog 2008-11-25 11:57:16 UTC
Clipboard copying from Writer is difficult; the application stops for a second
during a simple text copy while operating on the .doc document (created in
Microsoft Office XP). It is corrupting the system clipboard, and pasting the
copied text into any application requires at least few times of trying. Seems
like - somehow - Oo Writer is slowing down the system by filling the clipboard.
This is extremely painful.

Not a P1.

Please describe step by step what you are pasting from where to where.
Add all sample document needed.
Comment 2 insane_hedgehog 2008-11-25 13:51:04 UTC
Well, it works like that with ANY document for me. Even the simple one-sentence
file. :)

Such things may be insisted by a corrupted config. Please exit OOo, delete
folder "c:\documents and settings\[user]\Application data\openoffice.org3".
restart OOo and try again... does this help?

Same story after deleting the prefs file, I am afraid. I've had preferences
directory left from my OpenOffice2, but I have deleted all reminiscences - still
nothing.

Strange behavior. Try to shut down every tools (Desktop enhancer, Antivirus,
etc) running in the background and try to find out what causes this. This is not
reproducible.
