Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 9740
Autocomplete behaviour of file field in New Document Hyperlink dialog confusing
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:43:39 UTC
Summary -------- Incorrect path displayed when link to new document option is used in Hyperlink dialog System Configuration --------------------- Platform: PC OS: Win2k NT 5.0, WinXP 5.1 Version: 2195, 2600 Steps to reproduce bug ---------------------- 1. Open a new text document. 2. Type some text in it and highlight it. Click on the hyperlink dialog located in the main toolbar, or go to menu option Insert->Hyperlink to pull the dialog box up 3. Click on the new document option 4. Click on the folder icon located adjacent to the path text field 5. Choose a path where the new document will exist 6. Choose a different path by repeating steps 4 and 5 again You can see that the path is incorrect. It adds the last folder of the previous path to the new path... For example if your previous path happened to be C:\Temp and the new path is C:\Temp\test the path displayed would be C:\Temp\test\Temp and not C:\Temp\test Notes ------ This is a minor bug, but I hope that it is fixed since the problem just lies with the the setting of the path. The variable used to set the path is probably not being reset properly before the new path is being set. Hopet this helps.
Bharath, thank you for using and supporting OOo. Bug or feature? OOo takes the very last part of the path in the path field that you specify as the filename you want to save the new document as. That's why it's "repeated". I'd classify this as an enhancement request. User summary: Incorrect path displayed when link to new document option is used in Hyperlink dialog
