Can reproduce it in Writer with DEV300m37 on WinXP and Ubuntu

How to reproduce it 
1 Create a new Writer document
2 Insert - Fields - Other 'Fields' dialog appears. Switch to 'Function' Tab,
  Type:   PlaceHolder
  Format: Frame
  then hit 'Insert' button n (n >=3) times, close the 'Fields' dialog
3 Set cursor to the nth Frame(the last Frame), 'Frame' dialog appears, then 'OK'
4 Set cursor to the (n-1)th Frame (Next to last Frame), 'Frame' dialog appears,
  then 'OK' 

Result
OOo crashes

Expectation
OOo works well

MRU->OS: please have a look with a debugger? I think that this is the same root
cause as in issue 97295.
