Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 97599
Can't modify size of OLE - Handles not accessible due to too narrow view
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:27:54 UTC
Try and edit the last OLE in the doc, and try to change its horz size. I know the solution is to reduce the zoom ratio...but finally it is a bug and you should fix it...though giving it less priority.
Created attachment 59019 [details] Now what can I say?...................
This is never a P1 issue. Please read http://www.openoffice.org/scdocs/ddIssues_EnterModify.html#priority I too think, that this is a defect. The width of the writer window in web layout should be adjust to the outer frame of the OLE object not to the inner area, when the OLE object is in editing mode. I work with OOo3.0 on WinXP. You can resize it (in editing mode), if you move the object to the right. That is possible with the upper edge. Then you can access the left handle to reduce the width. Same on the other side: Move object to the left, so that you can access the right handle.
Actually it should have been P5...but I was moving with the opposite coordinate system. aaaaa...I sorta didn't get what you said :-P But...it's not a minor problem and I can live with it, I did my job of reporting :-)
MRU->MAV: when activating the the large object lower in the document, it is not possible to access the handles of the objects' corners.
