I will attach a file generated with ODFDOM which is only slightly different from
a previous version. The old version used to open within a minute; this version
takes considerably longer.

Any measurement for "considerably longer"?
Could you please also attach the old version that loads faster, for reference?

I don't believe this any longer. It's a fairly large file, and Calc has to
figure out all the presentations.
