Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 98409
One column table document opens blank
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:44:20 UTC
A document created in Microsoft Word (version unknown as it was sent to me) when opened in OpenOffice Writer shows a table with many rows. Page count shows as 1 page. Placing the cursor into the first row and deleting each row at a time and completing the deletion of 40 rows will increase the page count to 2. It will also show some of the contents of the document (subsequent times I have tried it it did not show the contents). Either highlight, ie ctrl-A, all the contents shown or place the cursor in the very first row and highlight (ctrl-A). Now cut the highlight, ctrl-X. This will shows a bunch or rows again. Now, delete each row at a time. After approximately 32 rows have been deleted you can paste the contents into the document. You will now have the complete document and a total of 10 pages. You can also open the document in WordPad and will show the full document contents. I will attach the document to this bug issue. Otherwise email and I will email directly to you.

A further test performed. 1. Open document (as per attached here) 2. Press CTRL-A 3. Press CTRL-X 4. Open a new blank WRITER document 5. Press CTRL-V into the new blank WRITER document 6. You will now see the full contents that is in the original document.
Same problem as issue 25680. Fixed in OOo 3.0.1. Try out, the RC2 build is already available in the "dev build section" from the downloads page. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 25680 ***
