Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 98558
oooimprovement2: 'Show data' comes up read only
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:33:44 UTC
oooimprovement2 : - clicking on the 'Show Data' button brings up a dialog that asks if you want to open as read only documet or as a copy - expected: data dokument shouldn't read only as it is stored in 'Applicatop Data' folders
CCed: md
The file itself is not read-only - the eventlogger has the file opened for writing and thus the file can only be opened for reading on filesystems that are not inode-based (Pretty much every Windows filesystem). This is a limitation in windows and its filesystems. Is this really something for Target "OOo 3.1"?
MD: I think we can leave this out for 3.1 release.
retargeting 3.1 -> 3.X
added usagetracking keyword
fixed as a sideeffect in cws oooimprovement5. "Show data" now opens the usage tracking data read-only, so there should not be any annoying "read-only or open copy" dialogs.
