I have tried it with OOoDEVm41 on WinXp. The document crashes here too. I have
sent an error report, but id has not yet arrived.

The document has not doc-format but rtf-format. But OOo crashes too, if I choose
the writer rtf-filter.

Word 2007 opens the document without problems.

MRU->HBRINKM: this 3rd party RTF file crashes OOo right at the end of the import.

File "makes openoffice hang.doc" opens in OpenOffice.org 3.2 RC2 in Vista
without crash.  It is two column layout partly with nonreadable text.  In Word
2010 beta same text is in two column and a bit more readable. In WordPad text is
in one column and differently partly nonreadable.  There seems no big difference
even with corrected extension (rtf).
