Description rvojta 2009-02-07 00:06:21 UTC
There are missing icons on the start screen. See bottom / right corner of
attached screenshot.

It appears in m9 and m41 too.

@SBA/MRU/HI: Reproducible on the Mac?

@PL: any idea?
Comment 3 rvojta 2009-04-09 15:05:29 UTC
It still happens with the latest milestones. This is kind of problematic issue, because it doesn't happen
always. It's quite hard to reproduce it.

And sometimes, the white rectangle flickers in the bottom / right corner and icons finally do appear.

SBA: I never saw this on Sun-built versions on the MacMini I use ever. I could
only shoot in the dark: OS version, Machine or graphic driver (version,
settings, overload), System UI settings (Fonts, sizes, activated gizzmos and
gimmicks), what processes run beside the office...

A sometimes surprinsingly feasible question is "who-built-those-builds and how?"...

Adding HDU and AW on c/c, maybe they have hints how to circle this in.
Comment 5 rvojta 2009-04-09 22:05:03 UTC
These builds are made by me and they are based on SB build script, which configures OO.o in this way:

./configure --enable-werror \
 --with-jdk-home=/System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Home \
 --with-use-shell=bash

My system is Leopard with latest updates, latest Xcode & tools. When I work on OO.o, there are no
other special applications running except Safari, terminals, emacs and some communication programs
like Skype, Adium, Colloquy, etc.

Version          : 1.1.7.23
Operating System : Mac OS X 10.5.6

If you need more info from me or something to test, just let me know.
Comment 6 hdu@apache.org 2009-04-14 07:24:39 UTC
Reproducing the problem probably depends on the default font set in the system. Also it depends on the
screen resolution.
Comment 7 rvojta 2009-04-14 08:04:10 UTC
My system is Mac OS X in English version - no localization, no additional fonts installed. And screen
resolution is 1920x1200 (17" MBP).

@rvojta: Do you still have that problem in a current 3.1rc2?
(Please also set the version you are using in the corresponding issue field.
"current" may exist but it's a useless flag)
Comment 9 eric.savary 2010-04-03 11:21:07 UTC
Please test agin in an upcoming 3.2.1.
Feel free to reopen if it's still buggy.
