Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 99014
Shortcut to make text bold does not work (Ctrl + B)
Last modified: 2022-06-03 16:44:47 UTC
Crtl+I works for italics and Ctrl+U for underlining, Ctrl+B doesn't. This shortcut instead is associated with the "justified" alignment (hope it's the right word for it). I don't understand why this association has been changed I classify this as P4 because there's an easy "workaround", perhaps should be P3 for the frequency of use of this shortcut
Funny, works in Draw but not in Impress. Does not work in 3.0 Final.
System Configuration: OS Name Microsoft® Windows Vista™ Home Premium Version 6.0.6001 Service Pack 1 Build 6001 System Model Inspiron 1420 System Type X86-based PC Open office :OOO300m15 build 9379 Crtl+I works for italics, Crtl+U works for underlining, but Ctrl+B doesn't bold the text. There is one more related issue in open office that talks about the same problem. http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=95083 The open office documentation on the keyboard shortcuts also specified the expected behaviour for Ctrl+B http://documentation.openoffice.org/manuals/userguide3/0115GS3- KeyboardShortcuts.pdf page 6. Steps: 1.Create new open office impress file. 2.type text on the slides (plain not bold) 3.select the text and press Ctrl+B Result: text doesn't change to bold.
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
This bug was fixed in version 3.1.0 Issue can be closed as OBSOLETE.
