It's a long document, so if you wish to view selected highlights (click the Comments button to reveal the 
dialogue that jumps to highlights).

Those Apple notes may not be most up-to-date but they do introduce the notions of two bindings:

option-escape     (also known as alt-escape) observes: 

> in Numbers, alt-escape 
> • does not present the menu 
> • does clear all text from the cell 

— so we should not rush to bind 

(I wonder why Apple have chosen an alternative meaning of alt-escape in Numbers.)

I assume that text completion of the type illustrated at will not be possible in the near future but I'm 
noting this enhancement — for a to-be-associated shortcut — sooner rather than later.
