Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 99181
inconsistent outline numbering
Last modified: 2009-02-13 07:15:41 UTC
In BadOL.odt, why is ddd (under bbb) labeled 'c', not 'a'? Both items belong to outline numbering, and bbb is more important --level3 vs level4. Now, select from the end of aaa to the end of mmm, delete: ddd gets re-labeled 'b'. Why? Undo: mmm is restored, but the ddd label remains 'b'! Close the window: Writer does not ask whether to save or discard; therefore, the document has not been modified, even though the ddd label has. In BadOLc.odt: aaaa and bbbb have the same type (Heading 4), should not have the same label (a). Demoting/promoting the items does not help to 'refresh' the bbbb label. But painting the style of aaaa to bbbb updates its label to b. (I submit those two cases together because they seem related to the same bug. Issue 98043 may be related, but deals with list (Numbering3) rather than outline numbering.)
Created attachment 60131 [details] file where outline numbering does not restart
Created attachment 60132 [details] file where two successive OL items have the same label
BadOL.odt: paragraphs eee and ddd belong to the same list, but I cannot explain, why... must have come by a faulty import like in issue 98043. Place cursor in para ddd, click "Numbering off" button (3rd in "Bullets and Numbering" toolbar) and re-apply "Heading 4" style to this para. Now Outline is correct and it does not belong to the same list as eee anymore. Handle it the same way as in second document for para bbb. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 98043 ***
