Description jr 2009-02-21 15:53:18 UTC
Many of the provided presentation templates use the font "Albany" which is not
delivered with OOo and is usually not present on windows platforms. This should
be changed to DejaVu or something else to avoid font problems.

HDU told me to reassign this issue to you.

@IH: This one is for you. :-)

IMO only the presentation templates "prs-novelty.otp" and "prs-strategy.otp" are
affected. All the presentation backgrounds should be okay as they are completely
new. Please check it.
Comment 3 jr 2009-05-01 19:01:13 UTC
I checked the templates in OOo 3.0.1: Most of them use the font "Albany", some
others "Thorndale". Both fonts are not delivered with OOo.

Not affected are following templates:
-Standard
-glacier
-keyboard
-forest
-water
-wine

I think this is not really a bug, because it is handled very well by the font fallback and every new template
will also have the right fonts. We should not fix this for old documents.

@ih:
"is handled very well by the font fallback" is an assumption that might not be
true on every system. in fact it is not trueefen now. font fallbacks might have
slightly different metrics what my lead to very ugly presentations.

"and every new template will also have the right fonts" is no good argument. The
new templates *are* affected as well. The list that jrahemipour gave was a "all
but these templates are affected". va was just wrong with his analysis.

@fl: please decide what we should do here
Comment 7 ooo 2009-11-11 09:49:58 UTC
set target to 3.3 and priority to P3; please exchange fonts appropriately,
despite of font fallbacks
