Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 99851
ODF, form:control-implementation seems to be required
Last modified: 2015-12-15 20:25:52 UTC
According to the ODF 1.1 spec, the attribute form:control-implementation is optional. However, if you use a library to create an .odt with a simple form:form containing a simple form:textarea, you have to explicitly set the form:control-implementation attribute on both elements to the exact ooo component names, otherwise the control won't be visible in 00o 3.1m2 (it even crashes OOo 3.0 if automatic-styles is present in the context.xml as well) Expected behavior is to at least render some plain, simple text area control with a solid black border.

I can confirm the bug in AOO 4.1.2. It does not crash, but the control is not shown. There seems to exist something, because you get green handles, but there is nothing to see.

LibreOffice shows the control.
