Description norbert2 2009-03-06 08:17:09 UTC

- open a (blank) spreadsheet

- place the strike through button in the toolbar (attached screenshot)
(it is not available in the drop down by default and has to placed manual)

- apply strike through to cell A1

- move the cell focus (the cell cursor) to cell A2 by using the arrow keys or by
clicking the mouse

The strike through button is still displayed pressed although A2 does not have
the stile applied. The bug also exists vice versa when selecting a cell which
has strike through already applied the button fails to indicate that.

Expected Result:
The strike through button should always update its state to indicate if the cell
has the format applied or not. (like bold, underline, italic)

The bug should be very easy to fix since working code already exists for the
bold/underline/italic buttons.

(Bug found on OOo 3.0.1 Linux and Windows builds.)

I checked with "Ooo 3.0.1 (DE) Multilingual version GERMAN UI WIN XP: [OOO300m15
(Build 9379)]" and can confirm the reported effect.

You can reproduce the problem (after you activated the required button(s)) using
my "sample.ods" and walking around in the document using the cursor keys. You
should see that the trike through button will only be updated after you pressed
F2. That differs from the behaviour of the other buttons (underline, bold, ...).

Additional info:

The bug also exists for within-cell editing when navigating the cursor through
ONE cell (where only a part of the text has strike through applied).
