Footnote duplication occurs when the footnotes are generated from tables. When a table does not fit on the current page it is moved to the next one, but the footnotes belonging to the table are not cleared from the current page. The footnotes will appear both on the current as well as on the next page.
Please check if the problem also exists in 0.20.5rc2. If yes, please attach (no inline, copy/paste) a full XSL-FO file that demonstrates the bug. Thanks!
Created attachment 5038 [details] Sample fo file showing the footnote duplication
The footnote duplication also occurs in 0.20.5rc2.
footnote duplication seems to be fixed in current trunk. on the other hand: if there is a footnote in a table header an the table header is repeated on the next page because the table overflows, the footnote body is only printed on the next page, even though the anchor already appears on the first page. Is this a bug or intented behaviour?
Created attachment 20066 [details] updated sample fo file, shows problem with footnote on repeated header The old attachment does not work because of missing <block>s in <footnote>s and <table-cell>s. This one works and has additional footnotes, one of them in a header which show the problem described above.
sorry, this bug is *not* fixed. The patch in bug 37579 fixes it, though.
