Hello,

I found nothing about this bug. Why the option FollowSymlinks doesn't works on Windows with the shortcuts?

The symlinks doesn't exist on Windows and create hard links is not trivial.

Changing to enhancement since you want Apache to read and follow windows shortcuts. If you want to discuss it, use a mailing list.
Comment 2 William A. Rowe Jr. 2010-12-01 22:24:14 UTC
FWIW, Junctions are already supported as symlinks. Nobody has gotten around
to addressing the issue of softlinks yet, since they were introduced so very
late for an otherwise modern operating system.

The correct place to report this is the APR project, but unfortunately I can't
reassign bugs at the moment. I even suspect there is already an open issue there.

Closing WONTFIX - I had misread the word shortcut. Those will not be supported,
there is no need anymore and plenty of reasons to avoid these.
