As you can see in the attached screenshot, the GUI is not optimized for use with 4K displays. All icons and texts are too small.

The next version of JMeter (3.0) will bring a pseudo-HiDPI mode to manage the HiDPI screen on Windows/Linux.

You can test the RC2 of JMeter 3.0 here:
https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/jmeter/v3.0_RC2/

You need to change (in Options menu) the appearance to Windows or Windows Classic

And change your jmeter.properties file with the suggested value in the docs:
