1) Somewhere on http://poi.apache.org/ I suggest to explain where the
name "POI" comes from. Probably there is an explanation. An
abbreveation, historical reason or something. It could be explained on
http://poi.apache.org/devel/who.html or
http://poi.apache.org/devel/historyandfuture.html

2) There are some dead links on http://poi.apache.org/help/index.html.

We applied some changes to the homepage via r1872206, there is a new section which links to wikipedia for the discussion about the origin of the name. Also broken links for mailing-lists are fixed/removed now.
