There should be a category "Type" for "All Languages", similar as there are "Field" and "Method" categories.
For example Java annotation/class/constructor/interface use & declaration would use this when set to "Inherited".
(Keyword would still override this for type names that are keywords, i.e. the primitive types.)

I believe this applies to editor/options/Fonts&Colors. Rather an ENHANCEMENT.
Comment 2 Vitezslav Stejskal 2007-07-24 16:58:49 UTC
Good point, we should add it.
Comment 3 matthies 2007-12-13 16:27:12 UTC
As I'm editing the color settings for my 6.0 final installation, I notice that this hasn't been implemented yet,
although "target milestone" is "6.0". Having a "Type" category would (again) have saved me a bunch of time. I would
have thought that adding such a category is quick & simple.

So, I'm wondering what is the status now of implementing this enhancement?

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.

Thanks for your cooperation,

Still relevant in current dev build.
