Description Jan Zajicek 2001-05-14 10:43:15 UTC
Note that in the case when you in the tree (f.e. in the explorer) make selection
which contain some node and its father the Delete action is disabled. This is
general behaviour in the whole ide (filesystems, databases etc.). It would be
good to allow this action in such that cases too. You can define order over
selection and first delete the nodes from the bottom of the tree hierarchy.

I would not try to fix this--there are serious problems with permitting such
deletions. At least do a search of IssueZilla first to find what the problems
were that made us put in the current restriction.

Yes, I tried to find something but wasn't successful. I will try again and add
more info to this issue.

I have spent time by finding something relevant to this, but wasn't successful
;-( Jesse or Yarda, can you provide more information about the problems
permitting such deletions. Thanks.

Depends on issue #13426.
Comment 5 Vitezslav Stejskal 2001-09-21 13:51:09 UTC
According to fix of issue #13426 the semantic of actions allowed for multiselections of node is
different. Your use case isn't permitted, sorry. Do not select children if you want delete whole folder.
