Most likely a broken icon for some annotation. We'll add better logging to find out what annotation exactly is broken and then file an issue for its module. This issue has already 20 duplicates Build: NetBeans IDE 6.1 Beta (Build 200803050202) VM: Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM, 10.0-b19 OS: Windows 2000, 5.0, x86 User Comments: Tools --> Options Fonts & Colors Created attachment 58214 [details]

I improved the logging. Next time it happens (I am not able to reproduce it in a dev build) please attach <userdir>/var/log/messages.log here. Also, did you import settings from NB6.0 or 5.x? Thanks http://hg.netbeans.org/main/rev/80011e28efd3 Not that I am aware of - it is a clean startup of 6.1 beta, although the cache for 6.0 does exist in a different location. I am under the impression that I would get prompted for importing settings from an older version of NetBeans. I could not upgrade to the latest dev build any time soon, unfortunately. So, it's clean 6.1 beta with no additional modules, fresh userdir and it crashes when you simply go to Tools-Options -> Fonts & Colors? What bundle did you install - Java SE, Ruby, C/C++, All, ...? I tested it with 'All' and it didn't crash. Unless of course I didn't do something that you did. Anyway, please attach the messages.log even from the version you've got now. It could contain some useful information that is not in the exception stacktrace. Thanks a lot Build: NetBeans IDE 6.1 Beta (Build 200803050202) VM: Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM, 1.6.0_02-b05 OS: Windows XP, 5.1, x86 User Comments: CLicking the top-level icons displayed along the top of the Basic Options window. Clicked the Fonts & Colors icon, then Keymap icon in nav menu. Error occurred for one or the other of them. Created attachment 58763 [details]

moving opened issues from TM <= 6.1 to TM=Dev This issue has already 50 duplicates The problem is with org/netbeans/modules/coverage/resources/icons/coverage_complete.gif, which for some reason can't be loaded. I believe this comes from 'http://hg.netbeans.org/main-misc/codecoverage/CoverageViewerApp'. The code coverage module is not part of the stable distro, which is why the problem does not normally happen. You need to install the coverage module first. I haven't tried though. *** Issue 143998 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** *** Issue 143998 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** P2 because of all the duplicates. Sorry, but I have no time to work on the fix in the near future. I will try to find someone to look into this. *** Issue 161650 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** 296 dups ... also for NB 6.5.1 |
