Description daik 2008-09-01 02:18:27 UTC
I often use the GUI builder in netbeans, and overall it is great, but some things could be improved. I often find that
the GUI builder moves my components around (often unexpectedly). Therefore I would love if I could position my
components, and when I am happy with it's size and placements I can select it (or several) and choose "lock in place".
This would then mean that if I drag other components in underneath (left of, right of, etc.. ) the automatic positioning
will NOT move this component at all. I would also like to be able to lock say width or height of the panel/frame I am
working on, again to prevent the automatic resizing of the panel/frame.

Reassigning to "form".

We have been getting so many questions about this on nbusers as forms move components around when folks don't want them
moved. There is no workaround for this what so ever at this point. I'm going to move it to a P2. There will be many
votes for this most likely per a recent discussion on nbusers. I'll point the latest discussion to this issue.
