jvm settings in options dialog apply only to building/running java application from the ide. jvm for running the actual netbeans ide must be set either at install time or manually by editing etc/netbeans.conf file I didn't say anything about the jvm options for built apps (I'm not writing Java), only the IDE itself. There is no option to select the JVM at install time on OS X. If it is disobeying system settings and must be set manually, I'd call that a bug. If you think that's OK, then by all means reclassify it as an enhancement, but it's certainly not invalid. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 164245 *** This is not a duplicate of #164245 since no GUI option has been requested there (the reporter was satisfied with the recognition of the JVM based on OS preferences). Please explain why it's a Macintosh issue instead of a cross-platform issue and a defect instead of an enhancement. |
