geoffw: open netbeans with --user-dir, its not scanning my homedir now that I set userdir to /home/geoff/xxx  - so scanning finishes in less than 10 minutes :-D  it looks like it scans my whole local maven cache in ~/.m2/repository which takes a while and then does task scanning - will try turning that off

alied: Starting and openning projects.
I have some projects opened and files in the editor



Maximum slowness yet reported was 5563 ms, average is 3880

Loading classes for annotation sidebars. This has to be done sooner or later.
