Description muellermi 2011-09-23 20:49:47 UTC
Product Version = NetBeans IDE 7.1 Beta (Build 201109222201)
Operating System = Windows 7 version 6.1 running on amd64
Java; VM; Vendor = 1.7.0
Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 21.0-b17

Prior to install beta, I removed all previous versions with their uninstallers.
GlassFish had been installed.
After starting NB, no server is available. Its not recognized by NB.

After de-install NB and GL, deleting all GF and NB dirs including .netbeans and re-installing NB recognized GF again.
Even thought it worked for a fresh install, it should work at upgrading too.
Comment 3 Vince Kraemer 2011-10-05 16:39:16 UTC
the autoregistration depends on the installer... if it does not detect the installled GF the IDE will not have an autoregistered instance.
Comment 4 Yulia Novozhilova 2011-10-06 09:19:48 UTC
The GF autoregistration happens during NetBeans installation. Please attach the installer log file (%USERDIR%/.nbi/log/*.log) next time you will be able to reproduce the issue.
