See subj. This prevents deployment of EAR project to WL as WL unfortunately needs the standard deployment descriptor even for Java EE 5. It has been fixed for web project, but I guess EAR is a different case.

Does this affect 7.4 only, or also 7.3.1? If 7.3.1, then Version should be changed to 7.3.1.

Looking at the code I think this problem was even in 7.2. But shortly yes, this impact 7.3.1 for sure
