The "Constant name does not follow naming conventions" hint should not ask users to rename serialVersionUID because, although it is a constant, its name may not be changed.

In my opinion it's a bug, not an enhancement.

I share your opinion. If I follow the Netbeans advice and choose to rename it, then I brake the serialization.

Fixed in jet-main#00f6e3028462 -- I've excluded serialVersionUID and serialPersistentFields from the serialization spec.
