Bug 30623

Summary: MON: PUT request with query string displays misleading information
Product: javaee Reporter: Jason Rush <jrush>
Component: HTTP MonitorAssignee: issues@javaee <issues>
Status: RESOLVED WONTFIX
Severity: blocker
Priority: P4
Version: -FFJ-
Hardware: All
OS: All
Issue Type: DEFECT Exception Reporter:

Description Jason Rush 2003-02-04 01:24:56 UTC
Description:
Build 010809_ee:

When Monitor records a PUT request with a query string, the request tab
displays the query string properly, but at the bottom of the panel where the
list of parameters is usually displayed there is a message which reads "There
was no query string." This is obviously conflicting information.

I think that Monitor is displaying this message because the posted data for a
PUT request is assumed to be non-parametrized, so it's the correct behavior
just the text of the message that may need to be corrected.

This is really low priority, however, since it is not clear that a PUT request
with a query string is even a valid case. But, regardless, it shouldn't be too
difficult to make sure that we're not displaying conflicting information.
