I've twice tried to run the windows installer for RC2. 
Each time it starts and goes to 100% cpu with no disk 
activity. The target directory is never created.
On both occations I let it run for 10 minutes then killed 
the process.
I have RC1 installed. 
I am running win xp home ed. with all current patches 
installed.

Unfortunatelly I'm not able to reproduce this issue. Please try to
reinstall your jvm and try to install NetBeans again it is likely
problem on your machine.

Also you can try to use ctrl+break which should do thread dump (issue
looks like there is a deadlock somewhere).
