this was out of date and has been fixed. it is only a location dialog. Still it may be confusing. Remember that you have associated sources and javadoc with jars. What happens to these? nothing happens. this only edits the location of the Library. the same dialog (with an appropriate url field) is available for the sources and javadoc associated with the lib. It's suspicious. Then user will have associated invalid sources/docs with that jar. Is not it really simpler to let user remove old jar and add a new one (with possibly automatically associated src/docs)? so you don't think that edit should be there at all? Yes, at least for live reference (see bellow). I have seen that it can be used to fix broken reference. Note that broken references can appear at many other places (e.g. the sources/javadoc attachement location). I dream that IDE should hint user once detecting broken reference advising him to establish a path variable. It needs to be worked out. this happens in the Path Variables dialog already. i'm not sure what the problem is here anymore... could you restate where the issue is, given what you know now? Now missing just one thing, what user should read instead of <library name> template. it should be the name of the library -util.jar bob.jar jarjarbinks.jar So the jar file name. Why not. As described in http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=619519&listName=nbdiscuss the current work on projects prototype has been stopped. Marking issue as CLOSED.
