I accidentally ran with JDK 1.5.0_01 JVM with the profiler and
connected to it successfully..... shouldn't there be a way that you
can determine the version of the JVM, and not allow or at least give
them a big warning if its not a 1.5.0_04 or higher JVM?

VM version is now checked for every attach. If target application uses an 
unsupported VM, the user is notified about it on attach and profiling session 
is stopped.

Fixed for M10.
