This must be problem in Mac jdk, as this works in Sun's jdks without problem. Report the issue against it. Thanks for understanding. The majority of the InvocationTargetExceptions stem from shared code provided by Sun and is not Mac specific. The stack trace even indicates that these InvocationTargetExceptions are triggered by a NPE caused in org.netbeans.modules.tomcat5.util.TomcatProperties.getJavadocs. This needs to be re- reviewed by a NetBeans engineer. Created attachment 27833 [details]

Jan, please evaluate and re-assign as necessary. I think there are many problems mixed together: from wwedel's log: Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException at_org.netbeans.modules.tomcat5.util.TomcatProperties.getJavadocs(TomcatProperties.java:412) issue #68962, already fixed. Caused by: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Already a project in MasterFileObject@e4a988[file:/Users/wmwedel/JVMNBVersionInfo/] at_org.netbeans.spi.project.support.ant.ProjectGenerator$1.run(ProjectGenerator.java:81) probably caused by the previous exceptions java.lang.NullPointerException at_org.netbeans.mdr.persistence.btreeimpl.btreestorage.BtreeDatabase.getIfExists (BtreeDatabase.java:720) seems that this can happen only if non-opened database is accessed, not sure why this should happen. Will reassign to mdr for evaluation From prakis's log: Caused by: org.w3c.dom.DOMException: NAMESPACE_ERR: An attempt is made to create or change an object in a way which is incorrect with regard to namespaces. a bug in JDK1.6 build 46, fixed in build 50, see: http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6308015 Caused by: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Already a project in MasterFileObject@194a0ad[file:/E:/projects/java_programs/secondproject/] again probably caused by the previous exception So, the only problem that still needs to be solved is the NPE from BtreeDatabase.java:720. I do not think this is P1. Lowering to P3 and reassigning to mdr for more evaluation. Or do I miss something? I am closing all reports in category Java/Unsupported as wontfix. These should be dead issues --- if the reported cases are against some live part of the NetBeans IDE please reopen and we can discuss to which category they belong. |
