Is this a DEFECT? Sounds more like a UI enhancement, or at best, a P4 DEFECT.

The problem is missing API for the types of resources other than data sources.
I would say that this is rather enhancement P3.

I think that other actions, e.g. regarding messaging, also suffer from the lack
of the API.
