Yes, this is a known issue. See issue 78587 and issue 86633. Workaround: When user exits IDE, there's a save project dialog prompting user to save or discard changes to the project. Be sure to select save from the save project dialog when exiting ide. "Yes, this is a known issue. See issue 78587 and issue 86633. I don't think you get it right read the issues again coz dialog prompting and save is working but when user save it before close it wont work and also copy project to another computer and try to open the diagram still it doesn't work. I don't think you get it right read the issues again coz dialog prompting and save is working but when user save it before close it wont work and also copy project to another computer and try to open the diagram still it doesn't work. Well, I do understand the problem. Manually selecting Save or save All does not really save the project to the disk. That's why this is a bug and is tracked by issue 86633. I retried it several times by manually saving the project using Save All button or File->Save All or save the diagram by using Ctrl-S on the modified diagram. Then, select File->Exit and the Save dialog for saving project still comes up. Selecting Save from this dialog will definitely save the project to disk. However, the Save dialog probably won't come up if the computer is shutdown during the restarting process. This way, the model data will be lost because it has not been saved to disk. I need more information to understand the issue. What locale was it? Did you have any special characters in the diagram name (e.g. colon, see issue 84376. Any exceptions in messages.log? I feel the issue was related to not saving the model element properly in previous release. The diagram file was saved with presentation information, but the elements were not saved in model file. It should be fixed by now. verified in build 070827. lordhiru, Please re-open if you still see the issue in the latest NetBeans 6.0 daily builds. |
