After successfully applying a patch, NetBeans prompts to show the results. If
you select yes, and there are multiple files changed as a result of the patch, a
separate diff window is opened for each. See attached image for the result of
applying a patch that hits multiple files.

In addition, any errors that have resulted are popped up in multiple windows.

A single result window should come up to display all errors, and viewing patch
results should be shown in a single editor window.
