The workflow for a number of VCS operations against the current file in the
editor is pretty messy.  If I want annotate, history, revision or diff, it is
 - right click
 - select Show in Projects
 - wait for the file to be found
 - right click the file
 - choose something on a submenu

I recall one complaint elsewhere about our VCS support as compared with Eclipse,
which includes VCS operations on the editor popup.  It would be relatively easy
to have the editor popup include FileSystemAction.  Probably the change should
be made in the editor so all modules that support file types do not have to
individually add it to their layer.

Thanks for the patch, but the action is currently available on editor tabs, next
to where you go to 'close other documents', etc. Generally, we don't want to add
more actions to already crowded editor popup menus. Tim, please, if you feel
strong about this, reopen the issue and take the discussion to nbui@. Thanks.

Wow, that's pretty undiscoverable.  I realize that the editor popups are
cluttered, but it would be interesting to see some data from the gesture
collector on how many people invoke it from there.

I'll hold off reopening this for now, but I'm not sure the tab's popup is really
a fabulous solution.

After some thought, I'm reopening this - I'd like Jano's and others' input.  The
menus are full, yes.  But there are a lot of actions on those menus that are
likely to be used far less often than versioning functionality;  if we were
going to cut something to make room for this, there are probably things we can
cut (I'm not saying we necessarily *should* remove other items, just that it's
an option).  And we know users migrating from Eclipse are going to be looking
for it there...and it really would be quite convenient.
