Save attached file to .xls, close, open - colors are gone.
Also please see http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=91063 which 
specifies this problem as fixed for 3.1.

This is regression from 2.4.2.
Suggest targeting for 3.1.1.
