I found the following big on OOo 3.1 Portable Build 9399.
(I guess that bug is not related specially to the portable builds.)

- open a (blank) Writer document
- click the bullet button

A small bullet is inserted.

- Save as doc
- Close the document
- Open the doc

Now the bullet is bigger.

MRU->OD: since we use a different default bullet in 3.x the export should regard
this and map to something smaller than it currently does. Maybe it could map to
Wingdings U+F09F; Symbol or Wingdings do not have "our" small bullet.

Workaround proposed from french forum:
Tools > Options > OpenOffice > Fonts
[x] Apply replacement table
Font "Symbol" -> Replace with "OpenSymbol"
Check "Always" and "Screen only"
