Confirmed on Rev. 1503704 Win 7. Text box 1st click -> reveal border 2nd click -> red static elements on border 3rd click -> blue dynamic elements on border = resize possible. Open the toolbar "Options" or use the corresponding settings in Tools > Options. You will see three buttons with something with ABC in the icon. These provide very fine grained setting, what shall happen on click on text, click on object outset text, and on double-click. Please try this options. The settings are persistent. I think, there is no need for any further setting, especially this issue is no bug. Thank you. It took me time to realize View - Toolbars - Options. It took me more time to realize "Select Text Area Only" and "Double-click to edit Text" need to be disabled. And after all this mental effort, we're down to two clicks to resize. Still not as good as PowerPoint. Just like bug 122899, feature that can not be found = feature that doesn't exist.
