The paragraph indent sliders (the inverted/right-side-up triangles on the
document ruler at the top of the page) move only in a smooth sliding manner.  

This looks great but can result in pixel-hunts if one is attempting to make
numerous paragraphs line up on a page or otherwise match indenting from one
paragraph to another.

It would be very convenient to have a feature wherein holding the "ALT" key or
something similar would constrain the paragraph indent sliders to 1/4" (or 1/2
cm) increments.

OpenOffice.org Issue Tracker - Feedback Request.

The Issue you raised has the status 'New' pending further action, but has not
been updated within the last 4 years. Please consider re-testing with one of the
latest versions of OOo, as the problem(s) may have already been addressed.
Either use the recent stable version: http://download.openoffice.org/index.html
or consider trying the new OOo 3 BETA (still in testing):

this is a repeat of issue 24070. there are a bajillion repeats of this issue;
someone should get around to fixing it.
