Word doc with line numbering space set to auto none

Description ljf 2005-01-17 03:48:15 UTC
When importing a Word file that has line numbering space set to "auto", the
setting in OOo is set to 0cm. This causes the line numbers to be right next to
the main text, making it very difficult to read. I checked what Word does by
making a PDF file from Word, and they output the line numbering .25 inches to
the left of the main text.

Word doc with line numbering space set to auto
Comment 2 michael.ruess 2005-01-17 09:01:10 UTC
MRU->AMA: Writer's line numbering does not have an "auto"-distance feature like
MS Word has.
Comment 3 andreas.martens 2005-02-07 09:38:28 UTC
Yes, we should either have an "auto" distance our own or at least import it with
a better distance than "0".

I am not aware of plans to introduce a "Auto" distance but maybe we could
improve the filter by choosing a better distance than "0" during import?
