see attached testcase.
see how second slide seems to have a white background in all areas - slides 
pane, normal view, handout view etc.

in actual presentation it's background is green, also it is set to green in 
properties.

another possible problem is export to sxi for 1.1 - in that case page properties 
still has the green background, but it shows up white in presentation itself - 
is this a problem with export, oo.org 1.1.4 or some other area ? should i report 
it as a separate issue ?

Reproducible. Reassigned. I wonder how this file was made, maybe you can give
some hints about that.
The export problem I think will befixed with this fix here...

well, i think originally it was created with m68 or something for another 
testcase.

then it was edited with m139, where i added bg colour for the second slide and 
chose "no" for all pages. the slides pane didn't change, so i checked a couple 
of things.
