Sample MS Word document W/ drawing object and text none

Description npeters4 2006-03-10 16:17:04 UTC
When I opened an MS Office 2003 word document that contained text boxes with
text in them. OOo 2.0.2-Writer imported the text boxes as empty boxes. The boxes
were in the correct location, but did not include the text from MSOffice2003.
Comment 1 npeters4 2006-03-10 16:21:57 UTC
I incorrectly stated that Text Boxes did not import correctly.
Rather, Drawing objects with text inside of them are what do not import.
The drawing object itself imports but no text.

Sample MS Word document W/ drawing object and text
Comment 3 Rainer Bielefeld 2006-03-10 18:30:00 UTC
I see the reported effect, but I can't reproduce that, because I do not have
WORD 2003. After I opened document 'Sample.doc' with WORD2000 and saved it
again, text was visible with OOo 2.0.2.

The sample document is NOT a real WORD-document, but a .RTF.

Related to issue 3790?

Yeah, it is a duplicate of issue 3790. The textboxes are drawing shapes, which
are not upported by OO's RTF filter. Currently, OO 2.0.2 has some basic support
for very little parts of the Shapes, but no full support at all. This will be
implemented with issue 3790.
