Description rdv 2006-05-30 06:25:02 UTC
If the user's home directory is on a partition with no free space, ooimpress
(and probably other components, though I didn't try) crashes hard on startup,
with no error message. Can we at least get a "hey, I can't even update the
.openoffice.org directory, something's hosed, have you checked your disk space?"
dialog box?

Reassigned.
Comment 2 christian.guenther 2006-06-07 15:09:26 UTC
I can't reproduce the crash on my Suse 9.2.
When The disc is full I get a Message that the disk is full.
Please tell me which linux do you use.
Please tell me if the bug also occures with the latest OOo-version (2.0.2 (or
2.0.3 comming soon))
Comment 3 rdv 2006-06-07 21:20:27 UTC
This happens on Fedora Core 4, updated via yum (but not recently).
LANG=ja_JP.UTF-8, desktop is GNOME, IPv6 loading & running (but most of the time
no available router discovered).
Hardware is Sony type T laptop, 768MB RAM, 900MHz Celeron, running p4_clockmod,
screen 1280x768 (WXGA).

I get frequent crashes (segmentation faults several times/day) while editing
presentations, most of which generate no traceback information, and none of
which except this one are reproducible. Fortunately, it never seems to crash
during presentations.

I won't be updating software in the next two weeks. My final Ph.D. defense is
on Monday, then two days later I leave for a ten-day trip. Can't afford to bust
anything right now, and don't have even the time to do the update.
