Description mkotsbak 2002-09-01 16:12:58 UTC
The date format used in the _open file-dialog_ now is m.d.yyyy, but the official format in Norway
(and probably in other european contries as well) is dd.mm.yyyy. (day of month and month is
switched), even when I have norwegian locale set up in configuration.

Example:
5..18.2002, 16:15:25

should have been:
18.05.2002, 16:15:25

Also, default locale should be the one set up in the system. It doesn't seem it reads that now.

The islandic format is correct, so could someone copy that one to the
norwegian one?

This is a duplicate of bug 7905.
This is a very irritating configuration bug that should be fixed quickly.
Comment 3 gaute 2003-01-27 09:52:24 UTC
Please see issue #10976. The proposed, corrected locale files will fix the date formats along with many other locale bugs.
