Description jasonspiro 2007-02-19 23:44:33 UTC
== Issue ==

The Help agent triggers when the user types a quotation mark (") in Writer. The
Help agent pops up to tell people that the quote was changed to a curly quote.

== Proposed solution ==

The Help Agent should never provide the curly quotes tip. Ever.

== Why fix this? ==

Many people dislike the Help Agent. See bug 74677 to see some opinions. This
would reduce this dislike.

distract users less"

I think this should be an enhancement, not a defect. The Help Agent is working
as expected, as far as I know.

SBA: All autocorrect actions trigger the help agent for a certain amount of
occasions. See further information in the online help.

My opinion is that switching off THIS trigger situation makes no sense as long
as its appearance (i.e. when common misspellings are auto-corrected or
auto-capitalisation takes place) are still wanted.

Tools-Options-OOo-General offers a check box to disable the Help agent.
I believe that should do.

Reassigned to requirements.
